I didn't set out to be an activist. I am an artist, wife, and mother.
When my brother passed away, I was reminded that there are no guarantees for tomorrow. Our lives are precious. We have to live each day to our fullest and try to be the best version of ourselves. Creating has always been a way for me to tap into joy and a sense of purpose. Making jewelry has been a way for me to express myself and help others tell their stories and own their truths. When I can empower others, it makes me incredibly happy. It is a joy cycle. Tines for Change is a project based on that joy that utilizes an everyday object to raise awareness about Animal Rights and what it means to be live a compassionate life.
